Hey guys, so i just encountered the blue screen of death on my new computer build :(.

I'm new to pc so i'm not to sure as to what the problem is, but i'm assuming that it could be the new beta 14.1 drivers from AMD on my new R9 270x. I've had the drivers for about 3 weeks and had no computer crashes/ Bsod, but did have the following weird issues.

- upon entering a program or game, like bf4, the screen would fade into black and back to normal.
- strange glitch-ing in the screen, ( like you would see when you press hard on a touchphone or a broken touchphone.) This happened once but was not because of a loose connection.

I'm currently running in safemode to detect virus as a precaution, but the computer is only 3weeks old and was only used for gaming and simple searches. Should i Uninstall the 14.1 and go back to the old drivers?

Just to add, the computer rebooted itself after the BSOD, but it started with a different bios, what could this indicate?
Thanks

Just as a warning, Catalyst 14.1 Beta is very particular about how it is installed and used. In my experience, it is very unstable. If you do not need or can wait for Mantle support, I'd stick with 13.12 for now. 14.2 came out recently, and I haven't tried that yet, so I can't give my opinion on it.

Can you be a bit clearer as to "Windows boots in a different bios screen?" Does it ask if you want to start up normally, in safe mode, or with the last known good configuration? If it asks that, that's normal after restarting from a BSOD.

Ah sorry, not to good with computers. My motherboard has a duel bios system. after the BSOD it gave me the option to restart into safemode or normally, i went to safemode and from there i restarted again into regular windows with no problems, It's just the bios startup screen was not the usual screen, but the other bios provided by the motherboard.

Other than that, the computer started up fine, i uninstalled the 14.1 drivers and replaced them with 13.12. I ran a game with a some unusual sluggish performance but other than that, no BSOD yet.
