it is ubuntu 32 bit 13.10. i have the open jdk 7 files for linux 32 bit on my desktop, but how the heck do i install them? The ultimate goal here by the way is to get minecraft working on this machine. also by the way, i have no internet on that computer. i am using my other one to type this in.

Can you install it through your package manager? Sorry, I don't know the name. I'm more familiar with OpenSUSE.

The files you downloaded are probably source files, in which case, there should be directions either included with the files or on the website you downloaded the files from that would tell you how to create a working install. However, if you can install it using the package manager, that would of course be easier.

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason for no Internet on your Ubuntu machine?
