Hello everyone. I have been researching a lot for the best gaming PC build for under 800 dollars and this is what I have come up with http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2vi1p *note I did not come up with this build and no not take credit for it. Tell me what you think and or what I should change. The biggest question is either that processor or a Intel one.
Thanks.

Not a bad build at all. I used to be an Intel only guy for quite awhile but have been using the fx-6300 a lot more in recent builds and honestly don't see much of a drop off in gaming performance outside of benchmarks. Yes the core i5 and i7 are better cpu's but at that price point I would take a fx-6300 over a i3 any day. Only thing i would suggest is finding a case with front USB 3.0 ports since the motherboard supports it here is one with a quick glance at newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Actually that build is pretty good. I'd look to see if I could get 1866 instead of 1600 only if it is about the same price and CAS. Second, that mobo is not good. Look into the Asus M5A97 r2.0 (not LE)

You chose the m5a97 Evo. I'd get the non Evo instead. It'll save money but still overclock well. Also don't forget to get a cpu cooler. The stock one isn't for overclocking. Get a cooler master Evo.

Cooler Master 212 Evo is excellent for the price and performs well.

You could consider the fx-8320. It's $20 more but if it still is within budget I'd grab that. Otherwise, excellent build for the price.
