Hey guys, I'm building a high end gaming rig for my friend. He just told me yesterday that he also wanted a custom super cool looking water cooling system. The requirements for it are it has to be red, blood red preferably, and it has to connect to the cpu, the gpus(I'm buying two evga 770's with built in water cooling blocks) the four sticks of g skill trident ram I'm getting and finally the reservoir has to be in a disc bay, nothing external. Due to the fact that I have very little experience with building custom cooling systems I would really appreciate if someone could point me to some good articles on it and which sights/brands are good to buy from. Ok here's the rig:

Haswell i7 4770k
2x evga 770 4gb hydro copper video card
Seagate 2tb hdd
Intel 120gb ssd
Rosewill Thor v3 full tower gaming case ( I'm going to modify it a bit so you can see the water cooling system)
Asus xonar 5.1 sound card
Rosewill lighting 1000w psu (might go with 1300w psu if necessary, not sure how much electricity custom water coolers use)
G SKILL trident 4 x 4gb ram
Asus Maximus vi formula

Again, if someone could throw together a red and black themed water cooling build for this that connects to everything listed, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Ps: I forgot to mention my budget is anywhere from $500-$750. I can provide links is needed. Also, I'm charging my friend $3500 and it costs $2400 for the parts I already have.

look at the EK site for some basic kits, but i recommend against cooling the ram...simply no point and often not worth the extra time and money, as well as the bad uneven look an a z87 (the ram is all on one side vs both sides on the x79). As far as red and black, get whatever radiators you can afford and the red will come from the liquid used and the motherboard, as well as possible led lighting.
when accepting to build something as advanced as this, it is often advised to do a lot of research on your own...really discredits you as a pc builder when you say you are going to put something together for your friend, but then have no idea what to actually do. My suggestion is to watch a LOT of youtube tutorials, as they will give you MUCH more info than anyone on here can give you. As far as parts, Koolance makes a nice blood red coolant, and EK has various brands of fittings and tubings that are all good as well, just make sure to get tubing that fits the inner and outer diameters of the tubing you buy.

I've built a lot of computers in the past, I've just never really gotten into water cooling. My friend litterally asked me two hours ago to change out the cooler I ordered for him to a water cooling system. I said I'll see what I could do but honestly I have no idea. Most of the forms about water cooling I've looked at confuse the heck out of me, are there any good sights/posts that really are noob friendly (for people just starting water cooling) that show where to start? Thanks
Oh yeah, I also agree with you that the ram cooling would be pointless and silly looking, I'm just going to get a nice ram fan for it instead.

I would check out one of the kits to start out. XSPC and EK are both quality kits.

Don't bother with cooling RAM. Concentrate on the CPU and GPU. Get clear tubing & reservoir and red fluid to get the red colored system. You can even get waterblocks with a clear window.
