Hi everyone,

I have had my PC for a while but recently ordered a closed-loop cooling system. After installing it and putting everything back together, I try to boot up and the problems start.

The first attempt is wimpy, the fans spin up for maybe half a second. Then it all stops, and it tries again spinning all the fans at very high rpms. The screen stays black, and the speaker starts beeping (one long beep, two short beeps) and there's a red light on the motherboard.

I don't know what the problem is, I've tried re-seating the ram (2x4gb) because I've heard that beep code means a ram problem. Gonna try to clear the CMOS next, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

I need to bump because I'm completely stumped now and could really use some help. Here's what I've tried so far:
-Clear CMOS
-Re-seated ram (Both slots)
-Used one stick of ram (A2 slot)
-Re-seated graphics card
-Used MemOK! (When solid, I press and it stops computer and then starts again, begins blinking. If I do this again, it blinks faster. One more time and it goes back to solid.)

I had a bit of a tough time installing the backpiece and may have scuffed the mobo backside doing this, or zapped the CPU when I removed it to clean it, or even tightened the new cooler too much onto the processor. HOWEVER I really thought that the beep code and DRAM red led meant a RAM problem... please help!

Figured it out, the RAM wasn't fully clicked into its slots on the mobo. Its silly that I didn't notice, but at least nothing's seriously wrong. The thread can be deleted/ closed if any mods see this, thanks!
