So my friend wants to buy a laptop to use for light gaming/surfing the web. His budget is around 550$, so i was going to ask you guys. He will be playing games like minecraft, portal, portal 2 and other not too demanding games. (IF you're wondering, he doesn't want to build his own pc, and wants a laptop for sure. Thanks for all your help.

OK well, a laptop with an a10 apu is second to pretty much any dedicated gpu that is a 630m/7670m or better, but those are usually found in slightly more expensive laptops.
Something like this would play most modern games at low settings with smooth framerates. For portal, minecraft, med or high settings will be good.

This will be better, but it is $600.

Thank you very much sir. It looks like a good laptop, and certainly better than what I've found so far. If nothing else turns up soon, this will definitely be the one he'll get.

Always glad to help. I myself bought a y580 a year and a bit ago, and since then have followed general computer prices. That looks like a pretty good deal. Best of luck.
