i wanted to run an AMD fx-9590 processor but i am having trouble finding a compatible mmb, the AMD fx-9590 runs at 220 watts, asus mmbs only support 140 watts, when i asked them they did not have a motherboard that would work. amd recommended a ga-990fxa-ud7 rev 3, there are none to found anywhere. does any one else have some ideas?

Solution
The ASUS Crosshair V formula will run it.

However, I would NOT get that processor. Its just an overclocked 8350, The money spend on a board and cooler to run that processor alone could be saved by overclocking the 8350/8320.

I'm running the same CPU and after hours of searching the only M'board I could find with the correct TDP is ASROCK 990FX Extreme 9. There are other boards that will run the AMD fx-9590 but I have had no problems with my set up. Len (aka) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Tell me you did not follow my advice and buy an ASROCK 990FX Extreme it seems they are having a problem with the BIOS I found out myself this week and got in touch with ASROCK Support and KSN Online who supplied my board. The fault in the BIOS is causing the ASROCK Browser to report the Northbridge is AMD 970 (RX 980) Chipset. Please do not buy an ASROCK 990FX Extreme9 on my say so, if ASROCK Support or KSN Online get back to me with a solution i will post it right away. The GigabyteFXA 990 UD7 (rev 3) is an option but costs £50/60 more. Tom's HARDWARE gave me a best answer award for my first answer but i'm quite sure they will take it away after this news.
