how to run r9 270x

i recently got a sapphire r9 270x vapor x from a friend to use it as a trial, but the problem i'm facing is I only have 1 6 pin pcie connector though the board requires 2- 6 pin pcie connectors, plz advice what should i do

And you also need to make sure your PSU is at least 500W.

ThatVietGuy is right. you need Sata power to 6 pin PCI-e connector/ IDE power to 6 pin PCI-e connector. chk the below link:

i have coolerr master thunder 500 watt PSU. can't i use the cab;e given with the graphics card?

Well, if an adapter came with the graphics card then you could use that. You didn't say anything about that originally.

HDMI cables and DVI cables are totally separate things - you use one or the other, but not both.
