I want to get a PS4 but want the computing Power of a PC.
What Graphics Should I get for my PC for Resolution of only 1024x768 ???
Settings medium to high playing all games of today.
Also, I would be doing MATLAB Scientific Computing also, so, I am also getting an AMD FX 8350 Processor.

Hey adity8522,

Assuming you have checked and verified that the motherboard socket is compatible with the cpu, and also you have an open pcie 2.0 express or higher (3.0) I would personally recommend a geforce gtx 750 ti.

It doesn't need a separate power input, so if you have a small power supply (300 - 500 watts) should be enough to power your system.

If you want to go the amd route, either the r7 260x or the incoming r7 265 give you plenty of power for medium-high settings, the only drawback is you need an extra 6 pin connector from your power supply, as well as this card is physically longer than the gtx 750 ti counterpart.

Also, how come you only get that resolution? Do you know if it's the video card that only gives you that...

I hope this helps.

Edit: these cards are in the $150 - 200 USD range.

To be honest matey,
buy a decent PC from a PC pre built seller. ask them to customize it to your liking and voila!

a good example of this, is to buy a pc at say 600$ and when they say 32Gb ram, you ask them to change it to 16Gb for a $160 discount.
then make sure they remove the GPU etc...

then just buy the best GPU you can?

if you were trying to game with 3 4K monitors they would stress alot
