Not sure what could be the issue here, Windows7 task manager claims Im using 4.15 Gb of ram, but under processes all of my applications together are 2.5 at best. My ram usually becomes completely taken up at about 7.5GB or so out of my total 8GB.This may take about a day or two but the applications under processes still will barely add up to 3,000,000K.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

I have no search-bars/bloatware/malware. Im not sure how disabling anything on start-up will help. My numbers aren't adding leads me to beleive it to be a memory leak, if so I would rather have some software run the numbers instead of me turning everything off and then start one more piece of software everyday.

Why in the world does task manager say im using 4.15GB of memory while under the processes tab it adds up to about 2,500,000K at best

most likely its infected with something. a memory leak is progressive and just because you dont see something in task bar doesnt mean its not there.
us a different av and try a memclear app. if it clears the ram and immediately fills up again then it will be malware/virus related.

Yes, by progressive I would think that after days time without my computer shutting off the memory does completely fill up. After this happens I start suffering performance wise. I close all main programs and it makes little difference.

What do you mean by av?
