I am gnna be building my pc for gaming at 1080p and surfing the net and watching movies.

Now I have a low budget, I can fit in 1 of these 2 options.

(a) 7850 or gtx 750ti + i3 4130 (pros and cons of both would be appriciated)
(b) r9 270 + athlon x4 750k

now iknow atm the i3 is better at gaming but will the bottleneck caused by the athlon reduce the performance to that of an 7850 ? Please help me decide. and give me the pros and cons of both. This PC will be used for strictly gaming and internet use so dont give me that more cores better streaming or video editing crap please.

the other parts will be
8gb of any 1600mghz memory
1tb wd caviar blue
a 550w powersupply

You will be better off with an FX CPU and 750 ti. athlon will still work fine with r9 270 but they will soon be outdated.

i'd say FX 6300 + 750 ti is a much better combination. Invest in FX it will serve you longer.

just curious but why not a fx 6300 or 6200? the i3 is a dual core and will bottleneck most of the newer games because they are starting to run on quad, so i would get the fx and a 750ti. performance per core intel beats amd however if a game is optimized to run on 4 cores and you only have a dual core it will bottleneck.

7850 + I3: +balanced combination, powerful video; -video slightly older
750TI + I3: +also well balanced, power effective CPU, very new and effective video, you can lower the PSU a bit here; -750TI weaker that 7850 (I'd select this combination)
Check the 4th gen I3 prices - with 1150 motherboard you will have better support and options for upgradee, but everything depends on the prices also...
r9 270 + athlon x4 750k: a bit weaker on the CPU side, R9 270 is almost the same as 7850, I'd go with Althlon in case of more tight budget (something like x4 750K + GTX750 non-TI)
