Hi all!
As the title implies, I am tihnking about getting a new CPU cooler. Not that I have any problems with the cooler I have now (Zalman CNPS990nt) which was a real gem when I found it, and still is to this day! But im building a rig for a friend of mine and seeing as I only paid £30 for this cooler 2 years ago and it's performance is out of this world (My OC'd 8350 has never gone above 50 degrees C) I thought I'd donate it to him. =)
FYI, anyone looking for a good air cooler should definitely consider the Zalman!
So, I am looking into both air and watercooling, however not custom watercooling. I'm not going to bother with that until my next personal build. I am looking at the moment at the following:
Corsair H80i
Noctua NH-D14
If anyone has any other suggestions please feel free, I will be more than happy to consider them.
Before anyone says anything about the Corsair, I know that the Noctua is on a par with, or better than, the corsair with regards to cooling performance, but my main reason for choosing the Corsair is the cleaner look it will give my rig.
Like I say, any suggestions please feel free, and your thoughts peeps? =)
