Hello to the PC Building world. So I'm a first time Builder, I own a 3 Year old Asus Laptop with 4GB Ram and 1GB Nvidia graphics, and has done it's time for me. I'm currently studying Architecture and the designing relies on computer programming. My humble laptop simply cannot cope with programs like Rhino, Revit, and Adobe suits running at the same time. Like everyone else, I also like to run Games on PC, I'm a PlayStation fan, but I'm exited for the rise of the steam machine and you can't beat the graphics you can run on a PC.

I have since looked into PC building and the benefits they have by fully customising computers to suit its needs, ability to upgrade individual components to tweak performance and create a sweet Comp.

Build:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: ATI FirePro V5900 2GB Video Card
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Gunmetal/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair Professional 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Monitor: Acer H236HLbid 60Hz 23.0" Monitor
Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70 Wired Gaming Keyboard

CPU
The Intel i7-4770k 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor in my view is a suitable candidate of a basic build.

CPU Cooler
The CPU Cooler I included was a top rated low budget cooler, but will it be sufficient for my build, should I increase more value in the CPU cooler? or save up for now and invest in a water cooler for the future.

Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-Z87X looks like a good purchase for price and value, does this Motherboard require a wireless adapter? I like my Music and came across adding sound cards to the Motherboard, does this make much of an improvement to the Audio Clarity?

RAM
I have included 8GB worth of RAM in my system, I want to run multiple programs such as Adobe Suits and 3D Programs such a Rhino and Vray Rendering. Is 8GB enough memory to run these programs sufficiently at the same time.

Video Card
My original choice was the EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti, but I came across video cards known as 'Workstations'. I came across a page that said 'Workstation' video cards perform better 3D computing. http://www.diyallday.com/how-to-build-a-digital-video-workstation/
Let me know your opinions on this, is this the way to go, will I lose performance for Gaming potential compared to the GeForce GTX?

Case
The NZXT Phantom range is a case to be looked at full stop! The colour choices they have are spot on and makes it difficult to choose. But my Gunmetal Black will look great with all red internal colour scheme (if you noticed). Does the Gunmetal Black case come with White LEDs, which is fine but is it possible to replace the LEDs with red, and also the same with the case fans? or there's the possibility of just applying a touch of paint the LEDs and spray paint to the fan blades.

Power Supply
I have gone for a Corsair 750W ATX Power Supply, which will supply my current build. In future I will like to put Dual Video Cards, will I have enough power to do so, or is it worth getting an 850W now?

Operating System
Is it worth finding a cracked version of Windows 7 and installing it, or is it easier just purchasing it?

Display
The Display is an Acer that has IPS capability. This is the fairly cheapest monitor I could find with IPS, is it worth spending more money for a great display or just switch to LED.

Pricing
There is a heap of choice when selecting parts for the computer, ranging in prices. It'll be great if you let me know how to save to most money, but get the best performance out of this build. Suggest what parts I can go cheaper on and what parts I should go for in value.
I live in Australia, and I haven't found many websites great for PC parts, if someone knows a great cheap place let me know. Shipping for some parts may get pricey.

Tutorials
Some video's showing the correct installation of specific aspects of Computer Building will be REALY Healpful.

Overall

Let me know what you guys think. Things that I should consider and apply to my build. I'll greatly appreciate your advise and answers to my many many questions :)

Solution
I would definitely change the GPU if you care about your gaming. If gaming is something minor to you then get the FirePro. My suggestion would be the GTX 780 or 780Ti, depending on your budget.

8GB of memory is fine, but I'd suggest a set of 16GB, because you're going to do multitasking with heavy programs.

Here at Tom's we aren't supposed to encourage ilegal activities, such as piracy and cracking, so I can't help you on that, sorry :(

http://bit.ly/1lwJioc - This is the best PC assembly video, it's concise and explains everything very well.

Don't add a sound card unless you're an audiophile and want to hear every single breath the singer takes. I have my onboard one and I'm happy with it (also LOVE music)

I wouldn't change...

I wouldn't change anything else in your build, it's a pretty good starting one. Good luck!
