Been offered 175 for my Asus 7970 would it be wise going for a 780 now or bold out for maxwell at the end of the year? I m

a 780 is a fine choice of a card for now and are at a very good price, but if you want to wait for maxwell, then wait, Maxwell will have some really good cards come out but expect a huge price on them when they are first out. I would say get the 780, as it is a really good price now and very good performance as it can max out any game at 1080p with really good FPS averages.

Are you kidding me. this is used. It depends on the condition and all. A used 7970 wouldn't sell for $350 easily. I can get a R9 280X in Australia new for $389.
-That said $175 is quite low, you can get much more for it.

if i was you i would sell it right before maxwell came out and 7970s are going to keep their value because of crypto-mining bs. 175 is lo-balling it

Good on ya. But im not talking about AU. Here in the states, due to crypto currency frenzies, 7970s are still going for almost what they debuted at 2 years ago. Just picked up a few refurbed 7970s for $208 apiece and will be reselling them promptly for almost double what I got them for.

for the first time ever, i am happy that i live in Australia, As parts in the US are like always cheaper, Now I can get graphics cards for less, such a win.
