Processor - AMD FX-6300 Black Edition 6 Core 3.5/4.1GHz

Motherboard – Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

Memory – WD 1TB 3.5inch Internal Hard Drive

Case – Cooler Master K-Series K280 USB3.0 Side Window ATX Case

Cooler – Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120mm)

Power Supply – ???

Thanks!

Seasonic is generally seen as the best PSU brand and OEM around, that XFX unit was manufactured by Seasonic too

That Seasonic unit he linked is excellent, it uses much better quality components than the EVGA unit and more power output than the XFX unit

Also, your board is the M5A97 LE version which has no heatsinks on the VRMs, I would not recommend overclocking at all on that board to be honest

Which board would you recommend for overclocking at a price range of around £50 with this build?

And if you had to choose between the two quoted in the title, which would you pick?

xfx more reliable better build. the only evga that is rated higher than any xfx psu is the supernova g2 1300w

I agree with Chris' choice of the M5A97 R2.0, and out of those two I'd get the XFX unit without a doubt, decent amount of headroom and good components

EVGA's entry level units are alright for a budget build, but otherwise I'd steer clear away from them and Corsairs CX line for something better from Antec/Seasonic/XFX

for me both are options since they can deliver their rated power. as for the built quality and components as mentioned, xfx is better and the best option on 550w psu class and price tag. asus has good quality products but as rolandzhang3 said heatshiks are very importaned on the vrm's when ovevolted so the Asus M5A97 R2.0 is more apropriate.

you will be fine, both good choises for the money. there isnt any particular compatability you should seek for between mopo-psu. :)

80+ designators are for the psu efficiency. it has nothing to do with the quality of the components inside or how reliable they are. most raidmax psu are 80+ bronze-gold and they are one of the worst psu brands you can every buy
