The last build I did was over 4 years ago (AMD Phenom II X4 965 on an AM2+ MB) and the last Intel build was a P4 over 10 years ago so I am out of the loop Intel wise.

I have settled on getting a Xeon E3-1230 V2 Ivy Bridge CPU and could use some help on a good, stable and reliable motherboard.

I am looking for a MB with USB 3.0, SATA 6gb and something with at least 3 case fan connections/control on the board.

I am assuming a Z77?

I prefer ASUS and in a pinch Gigabyte.

Cost wise would be under $200 USD however I will not be overclocking and don't want to spend more then I have to unless the reliability is really worth the cost difference.

This is all you really need, No real point spending big bucks when there will be no benefit to you. This board is an ASUS P8Z77-V LK, Which I prefer over the cheaper Z77-A, as it has far more better reviews with 4/5 starts average from the 640 in total, which is pretty good as you can never get a board without a bad review, as people sometimes do get a faulty board, that does happen but isn't a problem as you can easily return it.

It has all you need for what you have requested:
