can i run on board and add-on video cards at same time

dell 518 has on board video and a pci card video. can I run monitors to both at the same time.

if you mean have the onboard and PCI card run separately to different displays at the same time, then yes.

Depends on the chipset and BIOS, in some systems they automatically disable the onboard video when you install an add-one video card. Sounds like you have them installed already though, did you try it? Do both devices show up in Device Manager under display adapters?

I know an APU with a paired GPU that matches the APU will do this. But from my personal experience with Dell, they disable their on-board video whenever a PCI/PCIe video card is installed on a lot of their products.

Check the specs on this particular model with Dell and find out what it supports.
