Hey all, I need a little help figuring this problem out. In my computer I've got an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 and I'm using a Sony Bravia 32" TV as my monitor. When I had the monitor plugged in via VGA cable the display was fine and didn't over stretch the monitor or leave me with extra space. However, that's the problem I'm having now when I'm connnected via HDMI from my graphics card directly to the TV. The current display I'm using is 1768x992 and I've still got extra space around the edges of my monitor for more to display. When I use any other resolution setting the display goes larger than the size of my monitor and I can't see the Windows tool bar, minimize, maximize and close options when a window is open, etc.

1280x720 is my native resolution for this display, but even with that as my resolution it out-stretches the monitor. I've seen people suggest finding over and underscan settings on the TV but I don't think that my monitor has that option.

I have this problem as well. I seem to have to use 1360 x 768.

Here's the confusing thing: a "720p" signal is 1280x720, but a "720p" tv usually has a native resolution of 1366x768. I've never understood why. As far as overscan and underscan settings, that's often called "zoom" on a tv, but you should also have some video card settings related to overscan/underscan.

I've got a zoom option on my TV, and it's giving me one of two: full or wide zoom. With either setting the resolution doesn't work with the TV.
