CPU COOLER: Hyper 212 EVO - $30
MEM: 2 x Crucial DDR3-1600 1.5v CL9 8GB - $75 / $150
GPU: ASUS GTX 770 2GB Overclocked - $340 after rebate
SSD: Crucial M500 120GB - $87
HD: Seagate 2TB - $100
Case: Fractal Design R4 - $120
PSU: Corsair HX 750w - $130 after rebate
OPTICAL: LG DVD-RW 24x - $16

I'm recycling my old drives from my old build. I don't want to go through all of the re installing games. That would take way too long haha.

You don't plan on moving your operating system and games by just moving the HD to the new system and boot from it, do you?

Well yea I was told on a different thread that it would work. I am also fine with formatting my HDD and re-installing windows.

There are many reasons why not to do that. First and foremost is the license for Windows was activated on the other system (MB / MAC address). That is where your license is valid. Past that you may run into a lot of driver / boot problems. Combine that with any changes with AHCI / RAID BIOS settings, and you may be asking for trouble. You may find that simply moving the HD, booting into safe mode, install chipset drivers for the new MB, reboot and you might be functional. ...with an invalid license. Google is your friend here.

I contacted Microsoft support and they said they could get me started without any problems. I appreciate the heads up!

I pretty much agree with you in all of that except the case. Don't change the case. ;)

Ok keep the case. It is yours :D or you may consider Cooler Master Storm Scout II Advanced. ;)

If I remember correctly, Microsoft did say that user can use the same license for three or five system change. After that, user will have to phone Microsoft for re-activation. What constitute a system change, I am not sure. I think changing graphic card does not constitute system change but change motherboard does. I have changed motherboard twice with my current system and completely reinstalled Windows. I have no problem activating.
