For Photoshop and making videos -> I7 4930k + GTX 770.

For gaming -> I7 4770k and GTX 780

Which is worth more to you? The gaming or the video/image creation?

The 4770k, the 6 core won't really help unless you're doing heavy video editing or 3d rendering.

The 4770K with a gtx 780 will Definitely be a better choice for your needs. In fact even a i5 4670k will be OK. But if I were you I would go with the i7 3770K instead of the i7 4770K.

Photoshop is still more CPU dependent than GPU accelerated. 6 core I7 4930k + GTX 770 will be faster and smoother while Photoshopping.

Games prefer CPU clock speeds.Therefore the 4770k will be the better option.Also you'll get support for the most advanced CPU instructions with the 4770k,which is not there in the ivybridge extreme CPUs.

The i7 3770K runs colder than the i7 4770K and has more overclocking headroom.

both the ivy and haswell chips have overclocking headroom, its just heat becomes an issue with simple coolers like a hyper 212. sandy bridge is the best as far as thermals, that said going with the newest tech is better as haswell @ 4.4ghz is as fast or slightly faster than ivy @ 4.6ghz. if you have a 240 rad and nice d5 style pump on haswell, ivy, sandy…. thermals are not an issue anymore and 5.0ghz is almost a guarantee on all the chips with decent voltages.

if your just an average home hobbyist doing photoshop, a 4770k is more than enough because shaving down 20sec render to 15sec render by going to a 4930k isn't a deal breaker.

the 780 is very superior to the 770 and over clocks very well.

1_So for hardcore ganing, daily tasks and basic photoshopping To with 4770k W 780
2_And for video rending and hardcore tasks i should go with 4930k W 770
It's about which one is complitable for your uses...
I'mma choosing the first combo(i7 4770k W 780) because gaming worth more for me... (My favourite game is watchdogs waiting to be released).

I forgot, i've heard that the future games(in 2015+) will use 6 core instead of 4.
So i need my pc for the next 4/5 years!

Almost all games are currently GPU limited, I can't see any move to 6core games happening until 6 core cpus are standard...instead of double the price.
