If the option exists you will find it in the bios which you can get into when you boot the machine by pressing f2 when you see the Dell logo.
That being said you purchased a consumer machine and they are not built with backwards compatibility in mind. Should you require backwards compatibility you want a Latitude which generally does provide those options.
