4k monitor at 60hz vs 1440p monitor at 120hz

Basically what the title says. Should i get a 4k monitor at 60hz or a 1440p monitor at 120hz. Both monitors have a 1ms response time however the 1440p monitor has g-sync and i will be using a gtx titan black card. To me prices don't matter.

better an 1440P with 120HZ so you can run Nvidia 3D vision using Nvidia 3D vision glasses for $120 (it looks awesome and it is the best 3d till now in my opinion)

I would go 1440 because of G-Sync if you'll be gaming. The single Titan Black won't be powerful enough for the 4k screen.

If prices don't matter, why don't you send a 780 Ti over my way. Ya know, for science.

You could likely run 4K res on Ultra with a mix of high to get 60+ FPS, or just flat out high for 60+ fps. I'm not certain, but I don't believe you'll be able to get an average 120 FPS with a single card at that res on Ultra.

What games do you play the most? FPS games will benefit more from the higher refresh rate, everything else looks pretty on 4K.

You're on crack to think you can get 60+ on High or Ultra, or anywhere close.

4k needs TONS of GPU power. That's why I said 1440p, especially with G-Sync, would be better.

what gpus or gpis in ski would i need to run ultra settings and get at least 30fps at 4k? On second thought could i use two gtx 780s in sl.

Probably not if you want Ultra. Take a look at AnandTech's review. It has some numbers for you.

780 Ti (probably a little slower than the Black Edition Titan) on normal at 4K will get what I said earlier.
