Sorry, but what would be the best cpu i could get for a gigerbyte fm2 mother board, like i say i have the Athlon x4 4 ghz at moment,, i was thinking on amd black edition or something, i don't want to change moother board so intels out i take it,

Not much you can do to move up on the FM2 platform. FM2 is designed for AMD APU processors, which are meant for multimedia and light gaming. You could move 'up' to an A10... but I imagine it would be much the same performance, but with better onboard graphics which would not help you much.

You could reuse most of your system, but to move up to a rig worthy of running 2 high end GPUs then you are going to need a new motherboard and CPU. I would suggest an i5 with a decent motherboard, but an 8 core AMD with a good motherboard can also be pretty good if you prefer them.

Hi ive just been looking at a gigerbyte mother board with. An i5 cpu with socket lga 1150 so can be upgraded to i7, but its only 8 gb ram, this sounds ok but would i be able to use my 16gb ram, or are their different sockets on them as well. Sorry for been noob, price is £250 for mb and cpu,

8GB of ram is plenty for gaming, so that should not be a problem.

An i5 CPU is as high as you can really go with Intel for gaming as HT (Hyper-Threading) is not supported in most games, and HT is the only major difference between the i5 and i7. An i5 can support 2 high end GPUs without issue. The only step up from that would be 3-4GPUs in which case you would want an LGA2011 i7 based system so that you have enough PCI express lanes available to feed the GPUs.

You should be able to use your current ram on a new motherboard as both should use normal DDR3 based memory.

Not sure on pounds to dollars, so I am not sure if that is a good deal or not.

Reuse my pc? Please exsplain my pc is new appart from gpu, what could be done to up performance, nothing except cpu is factory clocked from 3.5ghz to 4 GHz, could i clock my gpu and how do i do this, ive installed nividia performance pannel if this helps,

reuse, means use again. Meaning that upgrading to a more powerful CPU and motherboard would not require you to change the RAM, HDD, PSU, GPU, case, etc.
The CPU you are using is not really fast enough to push 2 high end GPUs, but it is the fastest processor you can get for your motherboard. So if you want to go faster then you need to get a new motherboard, and a new CPU that operates at a higher level than FM2 parts. However, your rig should be fine for most games. I am just saying that if you really do want to upgrade to a 2nd GPU, then you will want to upgrade some of your other parts first.

Hi thankyou for all your help, ive found a cheaper moother board, its a gigerbyte g1 sniper, with lga 1150 socket, and its got wjfi and x2 pcie slots, £100 does anyone know what these are like and is it better than my gigerbyte fm2 board, its also drr ram so i guess i can reuse my 16gb ram, am i right in thinking if i get this ill need a lga socket cpu, also when i install the new mband cpu do i have to mess with bios, or is it simpley load driver for cpu, thankyou again noobs must be a pain. But you've tauught me so much allready

Not sure about pricing in your area (so shop around), but the G1 sniper is pretty good, and Gigabyte is a decent company. Personally I would look for an ASUS or ASRock motherboard (or MSI on the low end), but that is merely my preference.

As far as quality is concerned, your FM2 and the G1 would probably be comparable... but the LGA1150 is going to allow the use of much faster processors, and probably has availability of more features.

Yes, you would be able to reuse your ram.
