Hey Guys,

I am looking for a Wi-Fi card/USB because my self built computer doesn't have any. I was wondering if I should get a USB or Wi-Fi. My computer is against the wall with a little space (15cm). Which would be better for me and leave a suggestion for a card/USB to buy!

You can use this as a wireless bridge. It will receive the signal for you from up on a shelf, desk, etc. away from the wall and you can plug in a network cable from it to your computer(s) using the computers integrated network card (NIC) that any modern computer has.

A cheaper option and easier to set up would be a pci card with cable and moveable external antenna:

If you get one that just plugs into a usb port thumbdrive sized, then I would get a usb extension cable so you can move the receiver to a better position even if you just tape it further up the wall as high as possible to avoid being blocked...

Depends on usb wifi card. Try not to use too long of a usb extension cable. Longer or cheaper cables can give you troubles.

6ft USB extension cable if you go with the usb wifi card:

Some USB wifi cards come with an extension cable and even a little plastic holder to place on a shelf/desk as not to block signal.
If computer is not terribly blocked you could get pci wifi card with just the built on antennas with no extensions but you would have little options besides moving the computer for a better signal. Could extend antennas with more cables but not easiest option.

Probably pci card with extention cable and antenna if you have an open pci slot.
If you are not sure then go with the USB wifi adapter and either make sure it comes with an extesion cable and possible antenna holder or buy you a usb extesion cable with it.

Good Luck.
