Keyboard had gone wrong

help please! My 2 year old was on my nanas laptop and when I took it off him I was trying to reply to someone on Facebook but everytime I pressed a letter it would take me to a shortcut such as h took me to history and t opened a new tab I read somewhere that restarting the laptop would help but now I can get back on because my laptop has a password an the keys aren't working everytime I press m which is the first letter of my password it's saying password incorrect help me please it's a brand new laptop I would really appreciate the help

Sorry to hear about the keyboard Issue, they call them terrible twos for a reason I guess.

An easy solution would be to use a USB wired/wireless keyboard that you can plug in to the laptop in order to log in.
Once you log in, unplug the external keyboard and go to:

Start>Control Panel>Ease of Access>Ease of Access Center>Start On Screen Keyboard

Check and see if it looks like any buttons are highlighted, if its showing that they are, but your physical keys are not pressed down then the sticky key feature of Windows might be turned on. Press Shift 5 times rapidly until you hear beep.

If this does not fix your problem, reinstalling your keyboard driver is relatively simple.
