When i go to boot up from usb and install windows i get this message "unable to create new system partition or locate an existing system partition ". i previously had linux on this ssd and i used dariks nuke so i really dont see where im going wrong here? went into cmd and used diskpart
DiskPart <ENTER>
list disk <ENTER>
select disk 0 <ENTER>
clean <ENTER>
create partition primary align=1024 <ENTER>
format fs=ntfs label="Windows 7"<ENTER>
active <ENTER>
i believe i have done everything correctly and yet i still have this error message can anyone help?

ok, so i had this problem once too. remove all hdd and ssd that you are not putting windows on. then, delete all existing partions so its just 1 drive. then format it, then create the partion, and you may have to format that partion as well. hope this helps :)

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disk?

I solved this problem by changing the Boot order. I discovered that removable media was first and I was installing from a DVD. I put DVD first and hard drive second. It worked. I changed it back and the problem came back.

So check your boot order and make the media you are installing from first and the drive you are installing to second.

Setting up the install straight from C solves the issue but this is much simpler.
