r9 290x crossfire good for 4k

Basically what the title says. Are two r9 290x in crossfire good enough for 4k. Also would the heat, and noise issues be acceptable I don't mind about the psu however.

Should be pretty decent for 4K on account of raw horsepower.

4K is still in it's infancy and as so you should probably read a bit about it before taking the plunge. Some TVs work OK with it, others don't. Some drivers work great, while others dont. If you need to do font scaling then you may have problems with some programs. Also you will probably be stuck at 30fps unless you are getting a higher end monitor. Some cables do not properly support 4K either.

Suffice to say... you can get it to work. You just may want to work off of the advice of someone who has already dont it and gotten it to work.

you will need a monitor that supports display port 60hz. You'll have to run the monitor as two monitors... 1920x2160 on both sides. It's a hack job to get it working but it is what anyone who is gaming above 30hz at 4k is using.
