I have an Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A with Windows 8 installed with Full Windows Touch Support with 5 Touch Points, 64 Bit OS, i5 Core. I am having problems with either the gesture touch pad or the touch screen. Sometimes using the gesture pad causes the curser to constantly jump to another place on the screen, and this usually occurs when typing. But sometimes, the curser can also jump and trigger windows to open and other actions in a more chaotic way when no typing is occuring and will keep jumping to another place on the screen. In more severe cases, it can happen as if multiple clicks, mouse movements, touches have built up and everything just goes haywire as it processes out all of these built up commands. At this point there is no working with the computer. Sometimes closing the computer or restarting the computer can help reset things. But I am dealing with issue 1) all the time when typing and issues 2) and 3) at least once every session with the computer. I have turned off most of the gestures on the touch pad and I have tried downloading updated drivers without any luck. Can someone help me trouble shoot what the real issue is? Is it the gesture pad or the touchscreen? Are other people having this issue? How have they resolved this?

Can someone please explain to me why I received an email that said the thread was removed. I would appreciate it if you would reinstate the thread. Additionally I would appreciate it that when you send emails of this type you explain why the thread was removed in the first place. If it is due to duplicate content, then please direct the poster to where the answer resides. Simply deleting the thread seems to me to be impolite and poor form. On top of that, the email is sent without any ability to reply to anyone, making it extra difficult to receive resolution/explanation. A message that says go read the terms of use is not helpful, when you don't know what the terms of use are that you are supposedly violating. Please consider these suggestions for making communication with your forum members easier. Please also contact me to let me know how to get my post reinstated or where the answer is to my question on the forum. Thank you.

You posted this thread twice and the duplicate was removed, if that upsets you then I suggest you put in for a full refund of your membership fee and post your question elsewhere.
