Hello! I recently upgraded parts of my computer for a second time, and used the remaining parts to build a computer for my girlfriend.

It starts up fine, and usually can stay on for days without issues, enduring long gaming sessions and such. But about 2-3 times per week, it will restart within 15 minutes of starting up. About half the time, it has happened while she has left to do something else (ie. nothing was opened), and she has returned to the typical windows error diagnosis message. The other half of the time, she's usually just browsing the internet, so nothing demanding.

There is no BSOD. The monitors go black and the computer restarts. Nothing is overclocked. Drivers + BIOS are up to date. All the hardware functioned perfectly fine while in my PC, apart from the new SSD I bought for her PC to use as the primary drive. The crash dump files I've looked at say this the Bugcheck code is "0x124" and probably caused by "ntoskrnl.exe".

I assume it isn't related to temperatures considering it happens shortly after starting up when there is little activity, but has never happened during long gaming sessions when temperatures are certainly high.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it might be an obscure driver problem and is OS related, since you're using an SSD it shouldn't be a drive problem (unless the whole thing is botched which I doubt), back up your stuff and pop in the Windows disk and see if a repair installation does anything for you, if not then a fresh install
