I am looking to upgrade my Alienware Aurora that I have had since NOV 2009. Completely replacing it is not finacially possible rigth now but my budget is around $600. I play COD, etc but have been out of the loop for over a year so not sure what the newer games are. I would like to be able to play new games at medium or higher. I am thinking along the lines of adding an SSD, upgrading the graphics card, and possibly newer RAM.
The specs for my system are:
CPU: i7 920 @ 2.66Ghz
Mobo: Alienware 0H869M
RAM: 6GB (3ea 2GB sticks)DDR3 at 1067MH
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1 GB
Aurora chasis with/ 875W power supply
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I appreciate any help.

I am not overclocking the 920 now but was considering it. Though I have no idea how it is done. I forgot to mention in my original post that the system also has the Alienware High Performance Liquid Cooling.

Well then you should be overclocking. The i7 920's are a wide varying bunch on what speeds you can get. I have mine at 3.8G at 1.2volts and the temps max out at 75C with hyper threading on.
