Im working on my first build, I have some computer knowledge but by no means am I an expert. This is what I have come up with based on this site recommendations as well as reviews from amazon and newegg.

MSI Computer Corp. Motherboard North Bridge AMD 970 & South Bridge AMD SB950 Chipset ATX DDR3 800 AMD AM3+ Motherboards (970A-G46)

Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti GDDR5-2GB 2xDVI/2xHDMI OC Graphics Card

NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Case - White

Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB

AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition

Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (1x8 GB Module) 1600MHz 240-pin DDR3

Antec VP-450 450 Watt Energy Star Certified Power Supply

Please let me know your thoughts, tweaks, and upgrades. This is about my price max. If you think i should get a better piece please recommend somewhere I can downgrade. I am going to use this computer daily for movies, tv, music. Along with intermediate gaming. Would like to have high-ish settings if possible. I know i will need other pieces too but as far as i know this should be a good start. Thank you

Solution
1. Instead of Seagate Baracuda, I would get a WD HDD (Have a look at their site, they have different models for different purposes). I have a WD Internal HDD and an external HDD and they both work great. Had an external Seagate before, didn't really work as great.

2. Why would you need a 6 core processor? Find one that has two, but has better overall stats.

3. Have the exact same case: SWEET! Love it!

4. I would get the 750 Ti, will last longer and seems to be worth the extra $35-30

5. The MoBo seems OK. I would look at more of the same price range if I were you.

6. As for the PSU, have a look at this: http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/

Hope this will help a bit.

Thank you,
I agree with not using the seagate, im still very undecided with that aspect, but just choose one randomly. I shouldn't have included it, it doesn't really affect performance. I have been looking at hhsd lately. I want a SSD but Im not sure it worth the extra money. Isnt six core a good thing for high end gaming? As far as the power source it would make sense to go higher watts just for good measure. This power supply was pretty highly recommended as far as performance for price. Is corsair a good brand? Yes my build has holes in it that's why I am asking for help. I want something that I can upgrade in the future that's why I chose the case and mobo I did. Its tough because everything is very similar and high price is not necessarily better product. I will look into your advice and get back to you again.

Thank you for your time and input

Corsair is a good brand (one of the top for RAM, cooling, cases, psu)
