I removed the serial sticker off of my video card like an idiot, first time buying parts and building, and it looked like a label for the card, so I peeled it off and stuck it on the manual. Which voided the warranty. Now I need to figure out how to fix the nasty coil whine I'm getting, because I can't just RMA the card. The card is an XFX Radeon R9 270X.
Any tried and true methods? I've tried to reduce FPS , which worked on one game, and only that one game. Also I'd rather not nerf the performance of an expensive component like that.
