I wanted to replace my netbook hard drive with an SSD. I connected the Corsair Force GS 128Gb via usb and used Miray HDClone to clone the netbook hard drive. HDClone locked up at the very last moment, and now I cannot access the drive as the heading above explains.

Update on this. I have managed to get the SSD working, but it doesn't seem to have its full memory. I installed the SSD into my desktop computer where it was recognised and I was able to format it. However, it only shows 119Gb, when it is a 128Gb drive, and the disk manager also showed an extra drive (Disk 2) which is not initialised.
After formatting, I still could not initialise the SSD on USB, but after putting it back into the Desktop and copying some files onto it, the SSD was then fully visible on the USB and I was able to clone as I originally intended.

To answer your question about the drive size, the 128 GB is a a marketing gimmick. The drive manufacturers use 1,000 GB = 1 TB, while Windows uses the more correct 1024 GB = 1 TB.
