So, I'm building my first custom gaming PC and I have all the parts picked out, but I'd like to know if they're compatible. It will be a mainly intel-based windows 7 PC.

Case: CM Storm Enforcer - Gaming Mid Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 and Water Cooling Support
Motherboard: GIGABYTE G1.Sniper B5 LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Processor: Intel Core i5-4430 Haswell 3.0GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics BX80646I54430
RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9Q-16GBSR1
Hard Drives: WD BLACK SERIES WD1003FZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive and SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Graphics Card: ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master V8 GTS - High Performance CPU Cooler with Horizontal Vapor Chamber and 8 Heatpipes
Power Supply: NZXT HALE82 V2 700W 700W ATX 12V V2.31 & EPS 12V V2.92 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply (Haswell Support)
Wireless Adapter: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 for Desktop IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n PCI Express x1 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates WPA, WPA2, 802.1X
DVD/CD Drive: LG Internal Super Multi Drive 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM SATA Model GH24NSB0 - OEM

So, that's all the parts. Besides the compatibility thing, if you have any suggestions for better parts (Th current price is $1,212.69 and I don't really want to go any higher), I'd be happy to see them. Also, where do I get the cables for the DVD drive? Looking at the reviews, it seems as though I need to buy them separately.

Hi there,

As listed above, PC Part Picker is exceptional at helping with compatibility.

I've had a quick run through and all the parts look compatible.

In terms of your DVD drive, they're powered through the SATA power from your powersupply and data is transferred between a SATA cable and the SATA ports on your mobo. You should have an abundance of those cables so don't buy any unless you actually need them. That being said they are cheap.

The only item on the list I could be uneasy about would be the PSU. However if you're not going to be doing any extensive overclocking then you should be just fine.

Hope this helps,

Regards

Thanks for the info. I checked on pcpartpicker and there were two incompatibilities (wireless adapter and RAM, but the RAM incompatibility was caused by the wrong choice or motherboard RAM slots) so I switched out the motherboard and wireless. And I don't think I plan on doing much overclocking, so I should be fine.
