So hello there, smart component geniuses :D

So i am looking on buying some new parts for the PC. I am asking for help. Could you tell me what should i look into if i want to know if all the parts are compatible with all other and if it's a cost efficient build.

So, i have a case of Antec, Hitachi HDD, cdrom, earthwatts 500W power supply and Gtx 560 DCII OC (which i will try to sell with my old parts).

Parts that i am interested in are these:

Motherboard - GA-Z87-DS3H
RAM - DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Low Profile Blue 8GB (2x4GB) 1866MHz CL9 (does the frequency actually makes difference in non photoshop, editing and other stuff like that?)
CPU - Intel i5 4670k + evo 212 air cooler
GPU - was looking into something gtx 770-780 ish. Or is it better to take like R9 280x or something.

And if i upgrade gpu, will i need new PSU, cus i think i will need like 600W

Thank you,
Sarunas

Everything seems to work out. As for the gpu, AMD for shooters like bf4, Nvidia for games with lots of physics like Assasin's creed or Thief

The parts are compatible. MB, CPU and cooler are good.
The case must support full ATX boards and video cards long as the models that you select.
RAM speed has more effect on AMD APUs, with Intel there is little difference as long as you stick to dual channel memory above 1600.
AMD GPU prices are currently unreasonably high. I'd buy 770 or 780 - depending on the budget.
You will need 600w.
