I'm planning to purchase a MSI z87 gd65 gaming mobo with a nzxt phantom 410 case as well as two nzxt 3-pin fans. The mobo has three 4-pin fan headers. How can I connect the 5 fans to the mobo as well as utilize the fan controller that the case comes with? What are the conectors used and where do I connect them?
Thanks.

Use IDE power cables to power the case fans, then plug the rest into the motherboard, I have a z87-gd65 and CoolerMaster HAF-XM and that's what I did

Use a fan splitter for two fans like: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

You will either be using your motherboard to control the fans or the cases controller but not both. You could do a combo setup which I tend to like which is to use the same type of fan on the CPU cooler and another on the rear exhaust hooked to a splitter cable that is connected to the motherboard 4 pin fan header designated for the CPU. That way the one exhaust fan and cpu fan will spin up under load. Then connect the other fans to the cases controller so you can turn then down to silence the case.
