Hi everyone,
I will be building a new system mainly for working with data. I would like to hear your advices on this.
1. Approximate Purchase Data: August 2014
2. Budget Range: ideally $1500 but up to $1800 if necessary
3. System Usage: analyze data in Python, R, Matlab
4. Part to upgrade: Full system: CPU, GPU, Mainboard, RAM, Power, Case, SSD. (I don't need DVD, HDD, monitor, or software).
5. My Monitor: Dell 24inch 1080p.
6. Preferred Place: Newegg, Amazon, or any place with good price and quality.

I have got some ideas for CPU, GPU, and SSD, but little info about the rest. So any information would be appreciated.
a. CPU is likely to be Intel i7 4770k
b. GPU is likely to be GTX780 (I'd like to learn GPU computing)
c. SSD is likely to be Samsung 840 (Pro/Evo, 128/256)

Thank you very much for your help,
H.

the haswell-e for the money or the server version of the haswell-e would be better buy if your doing data analyzing.
also for the money look to buy the newer nvidia maxwell gpu. they take the older 700 cards and make them less power hungry but just as fast as the older cards. the 750ti that just came out point out that the card replaced the 650ti and uses only 60w of power.
