Computer Stuttering/Freezing after installing GTX 770

I bought a brand new EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked earlier this week. After I've installed it in my computer, I started to stutter and/or crash before I could really do anything. My display would cut out and my monitor would go into sleep mode. I open up my internet browser and it just freezes completely. Sometimes I wouldn't even make it into my desktop, just stuck at the loading windows screen. Though I took it to my friends computer and installed it there and it seemed to have worked perfectly fine.

I previously used an EVGA GTX 650 Ti Boost with no problems whatsoever. I bought a brand new modular 750W PSU by XFX and don't see any problems with it since I'm currently using the GTX 650 Ti Boost at the moment. I've tried using different set of RAM and that didn't change anything. I've tried different PCI-E cables as well as different PSU ports.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times. Installed them from the factory disk, downloaded them from NVIDIA, used Driver Sweeper to make sure I perform a fresh installation. Updated my BIOS to the latest version, etc. I'm all out of ideas and I'm lost.

I guess through the process of elimination, that leaves either the motherboard or the CPU?

My specs:
i5 3350P
8GB DDR3 1600
GTX 650 Ti Boost
XFX Modular 750W PSU
ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M

I have to ask but other than the Nvidia drivers.
Were you running anything like Evga Overclocking software.
Because if you were then the settings will be retained for the clock on the 650 Ti.
And would kick in when the 770 was fitted.

If the case remove the Evga software.
That is the only thing I can think of that would cause the problem thinking about it.
If your friend does not have Evga installed.
Then I would deduct if you have it is the cause of the stuttering and crashing of the 770 card.

In other words Evga is trying to set the cards memory and core speed, and shader speed on the prior settings it has for the 650 Ti boost card.

So evga overclock ect needs to be uninstalled.

I've updated the BIOS to the latest version, but I haven't tried updating it THROUGH the BIOS itself. I'll give that a try and see what happens.

I don't have any overclocking software installed from what I see in my Programs and Features.

Alright, so I got a new card, still a GTX 770 but now the display drivers keep crashing whenever I try to play a game. Browsing the internet, watching videos, Facebook, etc. is all in working order. Any thoughts on this? Should I revert to older drivers? I have up-to-date drivers installed.

Never mind, I'm seeing the same problems again. It has to be something else then. It's either the PSU, CPU, RAM, MOBO, or I just try re-installing Windows..
