Hi there, my question is pretty straightforward.
I'm working with Photoshop & (recently) with inDesign (currently both CS5.1 but i'll jump eventually to CC). My computer somehow burned almost everything inside before some days and i'm going for an upgrade.. (Either way needed cause i was with a Dual Core E5300 2,6ghz and 4gb ddr2 800hz ram!) I was targeting for the quad core i5 Haswell 4440 but i don't think by now that my budget can stand it. I saw the i3 Haswell 4130 that i can afford, but i noticed that this is dual-core and not quad-core as the i5. As i don't know what this really means and how much is affecting me on what i wanna do, i'm asking your lights! :)
Gaming: Not really in to it, MAYBE i'll play some games (SimCity most possible) but is not my "Reason to Buy".
Motherboard: If with what i said above you can also suggest a good and affordable motherboad (if after all i3 is okay decision), shoot it up.

Thank you guys and any answer will be much appreciated!

Hi Nuclear101, thank you for posting.
Weird to say that cause with my previous set up i mentioned above (and Ps CS5) i didn't experienced any crash. At least with the projects i'm working. The only thing i had problem was at the export if the file was big, the scratch memory was off limit.

I would recommend Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor. This is the best suitable processor for your requirements specifications. Also ensure to buy enough RAM because these rendering softwares utilize lot of RAM space. Minimum 16GB is recommended.

Better to buy this CPU one time rather than buying less powerful i3 now and then end up buying another CPU which is more powerful. If still budget is consideration then go for i5.

Good Luck,

@ Eric Joh: I live at Greece. i5 4440 for example is costing around 165€ (225$) here. i3 4130 around 100€ (137$)

@ EasyLover: Yea sadly i can't afford Xeon. Aside it's price i see that needs specific motherboards.. (that they're really costing..) Also yes i know for the memory, i'll start with 8gb ddr3 1600 and then i'll upgrade to 16gb when i'll get more money.

Thank you guys both for your time. Let's see what other ppl saying :)
