I will be playing Total War Rome 2, Shogun 2, Empire and State of Decay. All dlc and updates, with them running on max settings and highest possible fps. I didn't know jack bout pcs till a week ago. Building this through a website.

CPU: Intel Haswell i7 4771 4-Core 3.5GHz
Motherboard: Asus Intel 1150 Z87M-PLUS
RAM: Mushkin Redline 8GB 2133MHz 1.65v C9
Case: Corsair Carbide 500R Black Mid-Tower
Power Supply: Aerocool VP750 750W
Primary Storage Device: Western Digital 500GB Blue
Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX770 4GB OC
Operating System: Windows 8.1 64bit

Other than general opinion on the specs
-how many watts should I have for this?
-will I need more than standard cooler?
-do need an operating system to play and update?
-would a ssd have enough space?
-770 4gb or 780 3gb? (keeping mind max settings and fps)
- Intel Haswell i7-4770K 3.4GHz or 4771 4 core 3.5ghz? whats the difference?
-is the hard drive enough?

I wont be overclocking

http://evatech.com.au/pcbuilder.php?sysid=10 this is where I am building

sorry if these are to many ??? I'm a nube to gaming on pc. if it wasn't for a controller for sports games and GTAV I would convert.

You can get a smaller, cheaper motherboard for the I7 too.

Since you will not be overclocking, the I7 is worth it.

Here is a very nice build at 1600$.
You can get most of these components at Evatech too.

Where are you purchasing from?
What is your budget?
What resolution is your monitor?

A few initial assesments on your build so far.

1. 750w is too much.
2. Low quality PSU.
3. 4GB of VRAM on a GTX770 is pointless. Rather put that money to a better GTX780.
4. the Corsair 500R is overpriced.
5. Z-series board capable of overclocking, but CPU is not K-edition. Since you wont overclock, drop the Z board.
6. I7 is pointless for gaming, I5 is more than sufficient under a limited budget.

-evatech.com.au
-I got $3000 up, this build cost around $1700
-gonna buy one and taking suggestions? or if is acceptable to use on my Samsung -version-HK02-model code-LA32D450G1MXXY

forgive me I thought the watts come from the PSU.
I chose corsair model just because it seemed to have enough open vents not to worry about something other than the standard cooler, and its mid tower.

so a i5 with same ghz is fine?
with a i5 I can get a smaller cheaper motherboard now.

500W is already sufficient for his build. Getting 550-600W is more than enough room for future upgrades.

750W is completely completely overkill.

What is wrong with overkill if OP can afford it? A little overclocking headroom never hurt anyone either.
lil_tyke, with a 3k budget, I would say get a corsair ax 1200i and go dual 780ti SLI with an i5 4670k. You will be able to go beyond 1080 and not have to upgrade for a LONG time.

a lesser motherboard doesn't take Mushkin Redline 8GB 2133MHz 1.65v C9 correct me if I am wrong isn't higher MHz important for graphics an/or fps especially if I am not overclocking

i5 is enough for gaming. K is for oc. If you dont want to OC, get the non K version. But since for i5-4670 and the 4670k, there is no price difference, why not go for the overclockable version?
If you dont want to overclock, save miney getting an H87 mobo.
Your case is very costly.
Overkill PSU.
500GM storage is small these days.
You need an OS. Unless you are a pirate :D
Aftermarket coolers are great and not too costly.
Here's a way better option that wil save you money too and will deliver performance that will make you happy-

thanks for the help. 1 more thing since I have been scraping by playing total war rome2 on a pavilion will this run 40 - 60 fps on max settings with those other games installed mabye? and thanks for the help again

If you are running a 1920*1080 resolution monitor, it will run MUCH better than 60 FPS in most of those games you mentioned.
