I have the Cosair carbride 200r case, which has built in stand offs, one of which is there but dosnt correspond to my mobo. i was wondering if it is removable it looks like it is but i cant remove it

I'm pretty sure a Corsair 200R would have removable standoffs. However, they may be in too tight to remove with your bare hands. If you have a small adjustable wrench or a socket wrench of the correct size that will often work, or you can buy a "standoff driver".

You can remove them with a pliers if you really want to, but they won't interfere with any operation.

@IDontUnderstand I have to disagree with that last part. If you leave in a standoff where your motherboard doesn't have a mounting hole, you can short out the motherboard.

Leaving a surplus stand off on a motherboard causes short?

@IDontUnderstand If it touches other electronic traces etc. on the bottom of the motherboard, it can. In a situation where the case supported larger motherboards, you might end up with extra standoffs that don't even touch the motherboard, and those would be safe to leave in place. However, the ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer is an ATX board, and the Corsair Carbide 200R is an ATX case, so the OP wasn't in such a situation.
