I am looking to build a computer and I heard that you cant have to 'good' of a GPU and lack out on the CPU I don't want to spend to much on the CPU so I'm wondering if this build is good and if there is anything you would change let me know and I would love if someone took the time to respond. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/31t06 is the link to all of my parts that I would like to know if it works and what would you do, I don't want to exceed $2000.

it looks good but i would change your psu to this espescially since you have sli and overclocking potential. builder series are not that reliable
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1750snlb9
and this ssd gets better marks than a ssd now
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/crucial-internal-hard-drive-ct120m500ssd1
other than that looks good to me, some people might argue about the hybrid drive as a secondary hard drive for games. it is true in some games you wont see any performance gains but in theory you will in some and its only 20-30 dollars more than a regular 2tb hhd so why not

Are you sure you want to start out with an SLI setup, two video cards? You can get a single 780 for similar dollars. I know it won't give you the same peak performance, but you'll have much more reliable performance, won't have to deal with driver issues. A 780 will give you great performance at your 1080p resolution with less headaches. That'd be my choice.

Ok, what would i have to change if I wanted a single 780, what would be the benefits and bad things about that.

i agree with rhysiam also that you could always go with a single 780 and and get another later on down the road if needed, granted the 760 sli will be better in overall fps but a single 780 wouldnt be far behind and for 1080 gaming a 780 is fine as well leaving you the options open for higher refresh rates or higher resolution with a sli 780 setup down the road....food for thought

The main reason i went with 2 760's is because i wanted to run dual moniters, and not lag and i heard that you should have about 3gbs and when i have those 2 its 4gbs, and to upgrade 1 video card to 4gb it increases the price alot

When you run SLI you do not get double the memory. Each card has to hold the frame buffer, so you only get an effective 2GB video RAM. If memory is your concern... SLI of mid range cards (like the 760s) is a bad choice!

Still: you'll only be gaming on one monitor right? If so, the memory isn't a big deal. But if I were you I'd keep your build as is, but swap the 2x760s for a single 780.

Yes, I'm only going to be gaming on the one monitor, so thank you, what does SLI really mean, and how many gbs would ARMA 3 or Battlefield 4. Thanks for the input!

I like it.
If I were you I'd swap your SSD for this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148693 - Crucial M500 with $20 off. They have a good reputation.

Good build you've got there in my opinion.

What is SLI? Perfect question for Google! But I'll have a go. It's what Nvidia call it when you team two or more of their graphics cards together. AMD cards use "Crossfire", but it's more or less the same thing. You can get significantly better performance than one card, but it can also cause issues and relies much more on driver support.

Sorry, I just noticed something in your build. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think it is worth is to have a hybrid drive as a secondary HDD since you have the Crucial SSD. Also, I personally have had better luck with Western Digital opposed to Seagate, but that was 2 years ago and I've heard that they became more reliable since then.

some people are starting to use them for their potential for games. the 8gb nand flash cache has a smart processor that will learn what programs the most and cache it in there. so for single player games such as skyrim and gta it will have faster times to access the memory for the graphics card to render. online fps games like bf4 and cod will do the same thing on load screens to maps on the game so you will be into maps first giving you a slight advantage. down side is that you have to access the information first before it will remember to cache it in the nand flash memory. being that it is only 20-30 more than a regular 7200rpm hard drive with a 64mb cache i think it is the better option if you dont mind spending the money.

The reason that I have that secondary HDD, is because that is what I'm going to put my games and all my other stuff on, the main reason I'm getting the SSD is because, I read that that is where I want to put my operating system and not on the same drive that all my other stuff is on. I will use the SSD for other things its just that the main reason was for the operating system. Should I do this? What is the main difference for a Hybrid Drive and a normal Hard Drive? She i switch to normal HDD (a 'mechanical') one or should I stick with the hybrid. My goal is for as minimal moving parts (accept the fans of course) in my system.

hybrid drives are mechanical drives as well they have a 7200rpm spindle but with a 8gb nand flash memory (same as ssd) for caching. some people are starting to use them for their potential for games. the 8gb nand flash cache has a smart processor that will learn what programs the most and cache it in there. so for single player games such as skyrim and gta it will have faster times to access the memory for the graphics card to render. online fps games like bf4 and cod will do the same thing on load screens to maps on the game so you will be into maps first giving you a slight advantage. down side is that you have to access the information first before it will remember to cache it in the nand flash memory. being that it is only 20-30 more than a regular 7200rpm hard drive with a 64mb cache i think it is the better option if you dont mind spending the money.

Thank You for being so clear and precise, one more quick question about this, What is Cache? and this is the new PC build tell me if it is good or not? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/31P7C

a cache is like memory for a hard drive. it acts as a buffer between the hardrive and the rest of your computer. basically if your cpu looks for something it goes the harddrive to find it. howfast it is founf is determined by the speed of the hdd itself like 5400/7200. where hybrids are unique is that is has the 8gb nand(ssd) cache and stores your most commonly used file in side of it so that your spindle on the harddisk doesnt have to move. here is a good example. say your playing bf4 multiplayer, you enter a match on a map the first time it will look on the hard drive moving the spindle to find the needed files when it passes through the nand cache it is then stored in the nand cache for the next time you play that map... so the next time around it will be loaded with the quick response of an ssd...works the same way in games like skyrim when you fast travel.

as for your build it looks great to me, kudos.
