Two different monitors. The Asus VG248QE - $280 (US)
and the

AOCCG2460PQU - $284 (US)

I need your help choosing one. Note: I'm going with a high hz monitor as my graphics card can achieve 89 FPS on BF4 ultra 1920x1080. I may hook up my Xbox or my play station to this monitor too, even though they can only get up to 60hz.

Similarities:

Both are 24"
Both are LED
Both have a Max of 1920x1080p
Both have 144hz refresh rate (yes I will be able to utilise this as my GPU is a GTX 780ti)
Both have a response time of 1ms (GTG)
Both have display colours of 16.7
Both have 1 HDMI, 1 dual link DVI and 1 display port
Contrast ration is 80,000,000:1 for both
Both have adjustable height, swivel and tilt
Both have a 3 year warranty
Both have HDCP support
Both go up to 350 cd/m2 brightness

Differences:

The Asus has dual link DVI-D and the AOC states that it is just dual link DVI

The Asus is 3D ready

The response time on the Asus is 1ms gray to gray where as the AOC only states that it is 1ms

The AOC has 4 USB charging ports, where as the Asus doesn't. (2 are 2.0 and 2 are 3.0)

So there it is, what monitor do you think I should pick up? What are your thoughts on 24"?

Depending on which console you have, you might even be limited to 30 FPS.

That being said, the Asus is a better panel which is going to have better color.

Personally, I think 24" is pretty much the sweet spot for a 1080p monitor. I have a BenQ XL2420T, which is out of your price range, but also a 120/44Hz monitor, 1080p, 24" Sitting it next to my Iiyama, which is a 1440p, 27" monitor, I have to say, I would always choose the BenQ.

What the IPS fanboys don't tell you is that in low-light situations (gaming at night, anybody?) IPS monitors suck horriblely, and TN panels will actually have better color and lower brightness.
