Hi,
For a few hours I've been trying to get into the BIOS of my Gigabyte GA-Z87X-DH3. Del and F2 failed over and over on about 30 reboots. Then I tried a CMOS clear and found that the menu that comes up when you do that doesn't seem to allow for USB keyboards at all so I dug up an old PS/2 keyboard and loaded the optimized defaults.
But then, after reattaching my normal USB keyboard, I couldn't get into the BIOS again. Eventually I realized that the only thing I had changed since the last time I got into the BIOS was to attach an Anker USB 3.0 hub. So I pulled it. And then I could get into the BIOS with the USB keyboard. Reinstalled the hub - now I can't get to the BIOS again. (The keyboard is NOT attached through the hub - in fact - nothing was attached to the hub during all this.)
Known problem? Do you have to pull all other USB devices to get into the BIOS? Only USB 3? Only hubs? This system is brand- new so - so far, so I have very little attached to it. Once I start to transition to it as my main system, there will be 5 or 6 things connected back there and I would hate to have to pull them all to get to the BIOS.
