My PC gets ridiculously slow after downloading (Windows 8.1 64-bit)

Hello, I've built a brand new PC with the specs below and when I download anything the computer gets so slow that I have to force it to shut down. Everything else works very well until I download something.

CPU: i5-4670k 3.40Ghz
RAM: 8Gb 1600Mhz
GPU: MSI 770 OC
HDD: WD 1TB
PSU: 750W
Motherboard: Z87-G45 GAMING
DVD player

That MB has the Qualcom Atheros Killer NIC. Go to the Qualcom site: http://www.qca.qualcomm.com/resources/driverdownloads/
D/L and run "Killer Cleaner" to remove the NIC drivers and the network manager. Then go back to the Qualcom page and D/L and install ONLY the drivers for your Killer NIC, DO NOT INSTALL KILLER NETWORK MANAGER! That is the problem!
