Ok, so i've bought some NZXT fans (Orange LED type with 2x120, 1x140 and 1x200mm sizes), but they came with molex-through cable adapters for the power. Is it possible to re-wire these to get them with the standard fan sockets (3-pin type) so that I could put them through a fan controller or onto the system fan through splitters?

Molex is +12,G,G,+5 from with a fan use the +12 and G, a 3pin is G,+12, tachometer.

You could use a 3pin to power a molex conector fan (+12 and G) but will not have any signal to the tachometer and board will probably mark the Fan as not working.

So theoretically, if I can find the 3pin connectors without anything attached.. I could cut the wires from the fans (to disconnect from the molex) and attach into the 3pin without any issues?
Provided I get the pin layouts right, obviously..

The gound and +12 yes, but you will allways lack the tachometer signal. Fan would spin but will depend on the board/fan control the actual effect you get (like beep warnings due "fan not working" by the lack of tachometer signal).
