GTX 770 random severe drops in gpu usage and fps please help!

My GTX 770 which I purchased 3 months ago has recently been dropping heavily in usage during gaming in games such as BF 4 and Bioshock Infinite. I mean severe as in the graph for the GPU usage is like 99% and it will randomly drop to 0%. I DO NOT have v-sync enabled, so that can't be the cause as I see that is the primary cause for most people. Is that just my card overclocked too high or is it a system issue? Because previously I've been using this clock speed and my card runs absolutely fine last time and it only started now to drop in usage. It's running at 79 degrees celcius when it happened if that helps.
What usually happens is that I am usually just gaming and at random areas, the GPU just COMPLETELY STOPS LOADING ANY FRAMES -- THIS IS NOT A STUTTER it just seemingly quits and stops loading for 1-2 seconds and continues again. I couldn't find a solution elsewhere so I hope you guys can help me. I saw another thread about avast hogging the system so I promptly uninstalled it and the problem perpetuates. PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS PROBLEM as the return policy ends in a few days.

1267MHz maximum boost
7050MHz memory clock
1212mV GPU Voltage

Sorry that this isn't a solution but I am experiencing the exact same problem with my newly purchased GTX 770 4gb. I noticed it multiple times throughout the day between playing Hearthstone and Skyrim. At times it was almost 5-6 seconds and then back to normal. Just wanted to let you know you aren't alone.

16GB 1600MHz G.Skill Ripjaws Series
EVGA GeForce GTX 770 4GB Superclocked
ASRock Z77 Extreme6 MOBO
750W Corsair HX750 80+ Gold PSU

Card Clock:
Base Clock - 1111 MHz
Boost Clock - 1163 MHz
Memory Clock - 7010 Mhz (Effective)

I see... I've dropped the clocks and the problems don't occur anymore.
@fellborn you can try dropping the clock speeds. It helped me a lot we probably just got unlucky with the chip that we got.
