I have an ASUS G75VX laptop with Windows 8 preinstalled, and I want to add Windows 7 on a separate partition in dual boot configuration. There are many articles for adding Windows 8 to a Windows 7 machine, but not the reverse. Can this be done and if so, how?
It's basically the same thing, boot your laptop with your Windows 7 DVD, choose "advanced" installation when prompted, select to install in a previously created new partition (you can do that from windows 8 disk manager as seen in those articles, the manager is the same as in windows 7), finally let the installer do it's thing.
Just make sure to have downloaded all necessary Windows 7 drivers for your laptop.
