Im looking for a 1200w PSU as i am currently running a ax860 and i need something to replace it as i am switching graphics cards. I am currently rocking an asrock extreme fx3+
AMD 8150 CPU
GTX660TI Power edition
3 120mm fans
1 92mm fan
1 5200 500gb hard drive (yes i know its an awful drive :p)
1 128gb ssd
1 3tb external drive.

Im thinking about getting two HIS r9 290x's and i dont think my current PSU could run it. Does anyone have any idea what PSU i should get? I was looking at the ax1200i and the seasonic 1200w psu they offer. I also seen that EVGA do a 1300w PSU and was tempted to go with that as im not sure how much power my setup is going to need with the 2 cards. In the time im not gaming im probably going to be mining with the cards. If anyone could give me an idea of what PSU to get that would be great.

Thanks Guys!

YOu're going to be sucking alot of POwer out of CF R9 290x (these two would draw around 551W and minimum requirement is a 800W PSU) A good 1200 Platinum PSU out to work for you (and it would be steady and avoid crashes while mining).

Here is a few mentions (as always, do your homework first)

1. Antec High Current Pro -1200w
2. XFX Black Edition
3. Seasonic X-Series
4. Corsair AX

The Corsair AX1200i would be a good choise. However if you want to safe some money and still have a good PSU, you could go for the RM1000. The RM1000 also has "Zero RPM Mode" which makes it very quiet too.
