Is idle GPU temp of 39C considered high?

My GTX 750, when left idle for a long time, has a temperature of 40C during the day, and 39C at night. (measured using Nvidia Inspector)

Is this considered bad or OK?

When I looked at the review of this on AnandTech, it showed the GTX750 (albeit by a different brand, but they should be close enough) as having an idle temp of 25C. Why the huge discrepancy? Is this something to worry about?

No, it's not something to worry about, mine does that as well at idle.

If it is normal, why do the reviews show it running at 25C?

it is not something to worry about, you should worry more about load temperature (what are they ? try running a game)

Not sure how long I am supposed to run a game. But I stressed tested my GPU in the afternoon earlier. Sweltering Malaysian heat into my living room. 35C air temp at least. I removed vsync to get my GPU worked up. Played for 20 mins. Temp reached 55C. Good or bad? Should I have played longer?

You're still perfectly fine. That heat is still no where near redline.

Aww man mine hits 80 c and that's normal. With 23 degree ambient. Sorry that's under load of course
